Exempt plugins from color management?

Because many websites ignore my choice of a dark theme (both in Windows and in Firefox) I tried using color management in my Firefox Settings to force white text on a black background. This had the desired effect on websites, but unfortunately also applies to plug-ins, some of which (like uMatrix) depend on changes of background color to convey information or have dark icons which become invisible on the dark background. Is there any way I can have my cake and eat it too?

Hi

Have you tried using an add-on such as?:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/darkreader/

more options

Thanks, @Paul. DarkReader allows me to use uMatrix again, but it causes trouble with some websites I visit that have grey text on a white background. DarkReader darkens the background but leaves the text unchanged, rendering it unreadable. Any other suggestions? P.S. I am now trying Midnight Lizard, which I find easier to configure/manage on-the-fly.
