First and most important I want to thank FredMcD and cor-el. Your input got me "going" again.

E-mail is the more important issue at this point. I use Gmail and have for years, and right now I have to go through their awkward login procedure every time I start Firefox. In Safari, which I want to leave behind, I just click on mail and I'm in. Can I setup this situation in Firefox?

My history only shows "Today", "Yesterday", "Last 7 days". I don't want to show a ton of history, but I would like to show 14 days. In some of the help articles I see far more history than that. Is there any way I can push history to 14 days?

Help would be greatly appreciated as I'm 78 and weak on technology, chubbles

Are you talking about the browser history or your e-mails?

You my have cleanup software running in Windows that is scheduled to run once a week if you only keep history for one, so you can check what task are running at the time you notice you lose history. Firefox doesn't come with such a feature, there is only "Clear history when Firefox closes".
