How do I delete the default print window
How do I delete the default print window? I used to be able to type about:config in the address bar and Go to print.tab_modal.enabled =true and change to false. That is no longer working.

Firefox 97 has the latest evolution of the combined preview/setup/print experience introduced in Firefox 84. The old code has been removed. There's no going back.
There are bugs on file to add a new user preference and new keyboard shortcut to go directly to the system print dialog without a preview, if that's something you would prefer. Not sure whether that will arrive next month in Firefox 98 or whether it might take longer.
For now, how can we help streamline your workflow with the dialog we've got? What are you not finding in the setup panel that requires using the system dialog?
I have the system print preferences set to show a preview of the pages to be printed on the left side and I can uncheck any pages I don't want printed. This happens with one click on "Print". I now have to click on "Print using system dialog" to get there. It is aggravating to deal with the new window when I didn't want it in the first place. It is also silly to even have the print.tab_modal.enabled feature if it does not work when you click "False". Add to this the frustration of having Firefox update with features I don't want instead of merely notifying me of the changes I could accept or deny. I would understand if the updates were for security only, but changing for changes sake is stupid.

Wow, Windows 7 had that? I had no idea. I wonder whether Windows 10 has that...

That preference no longer exists in Firefox 97, but the installer usually doesn't delete obsolete preferences from about:config. You can delete it now by clicking the trash can at the right end of that row.
There are now several posts about this on the new feedback site connect.mozilla.org (which has replaced mozilla.crowdicity.com). You can access this new site using your Firefox login. I would encourage anyone who has an opinion about this to visit the new site and leave some feedback.
