What is a pms?

Open the History Manager <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site.

pms = private messages. i went to a site and opened private messages. now they are deleted. Are the private messages retained anywhere? they were displayed on my pc so doesn't that mean downloaded somewhere? Tried the history manager.

Thanks

Depending on the website: If you just viewed a message, it should still be on the server. If you deleted the message, it is gone.

Shouldn't my viewing it be somewhere on my computer?

It might be, but it would depend on several things. How the computer access the website. How the message was viewed. . . . . . . . .

You need to contact support for your e-provider. It's possible the site settings could be causing an issue. I don't know what provider you are using, or how they work.
