I'm using Firefox to save my passwords, but I'm having troubles in having a good experience with it now that lockwise is gone. And lockwise was not perfect either but still better.

If I create a new account on an app Firefox doesn't provide a way to autogenerate a password and then save the login data.

Please improve this feature because it is vital, especially if you deprecate the alternative.

Cheers

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

Note that the Lockwise should still be working if you have it installed. You only will no longer receive (security) updates and you wont be able to reinstall Lockwise once it is gone from the store.

Thanks @core-el for mentioning this but this is a not a solution, it is a workaround at best. I won't be using a deprecated and not maintained solution.

Let me add a thought: these half baked solutions are very damaging to the UX of Firefox mobile. I am a developer and IT skilled person, yet I find it myself incredibly cumbersome and annoying to save a new login if you're doing it on the phone with Firefox: you have to enter the settings and manually add the url, login and password. And what if it's the credentials for an app? It's VERY hard to resist the impulse to just move everything to Bitwarden or similar alternative solutions. I stick to Firefox just because it's a great browser and want to support their values.

And I cannot tell you how much more painful this is for less skilled people in IT, such as my wife or my parents, for them it is 10X more confusing to have Lockwise and Firefox and both just doing half of the job for password management.
