As the subject says, i don't wish to use the address bar to search i wish to use the bar in the middle of the screen like it used to be, this would be much easier for me with my visual impairment, can anyone advise please?

I use win10 and i have no plugins as far as i know for Firefox

Best wishes

You can set this pref to false on the about:config page to make Firefox use the search bar on the Firefox Home page instead of going to the location bar.

  • browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar = false

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to "Accept the Risk and Continue".
