Many sites now ask for permission for various cookies. If we say "yes" will Firefox then disable the cookies. It's a bit of a pain being asked the same question over and over again or having to go through sometimes a long list of approvals.

A website asking for permission (or telling you that you have no choice) does not override Firefox's built-in settings. If you switched the Enhanced Tracking Protection setting to "Custom" and applied a more restrictive cookie policy there, that remains in effect no matter what you click in the site.

Hi

This is as a result of European, UK and (I believe) US legislation around privacy. At the present time there is no way to circumvent these legal messages.
