Confusing message appeared on address bar
I'd been browsing the web for a while today when Firefox randomly showed a message by the address bar, saying:
"Start your search in the address bar to see suggestions from Google and your browsing history. Okay, Got It."
What is this message trying to say?
Is it to inform me that searches can now be performed in the address bar? That feature has been around for like 10 years!
Is it a plea for me to stop using the search bar?
Is it a tip for new users who don't know what the address bar can do? If so, why am I seeing it when I've been using Firefox nearly 20 years.
And what does the word "start" mean in this context? That's confusing.
And what does my browsing history have to do with performing a web search? Searching the web and searching history are two completely unrelated tasks with nothing in common other than the fact that the address bar provides access to both.
