Thank you jscher2000 as your suggestion fixed that issue. Now about the other stuff that I have no idea how to make look more distinct!
Would you be interested in starting a new thread for those issues? This one already has 40 replies so it is hard to follow all the discussions. https://support.mozilla.org/questions/new/desktop/form
I am not sure what td47 means as I don't have this issue as I only use DuckDuckGo which is there when open a new tab.
What want to know how you got the icons in the header of the screen "seeable". I believe with the header I have I always had white print which is now nearly invisible. Not only that but all the icons up there shrank and became outlines only instead of solid objects! I have Cats Batik Theme. Is it that I have to have a lighter toned theme in order to see everything up there again?
I am sorry to have posted without reading your request to start a new thread. I will start a new thread now so don't reply to me here.

While I do not have serious vision problems, I do prefer my custom theme. My toolbar backgrounds match that square claiming to be a "dark background". My text is green, with yellow and red for tabs depending on their status.
I referring to the Box labeled "If the text color is brighter than this..."

I think I did a bad job with that screenshot. If the backgrounds are that dark, the text must be much lighter. The problem is light text leads to menus being white-on-black.
@jscher2000 - thanks for quick reply. It IS the small one I have configured in the Menu Bar on the desktop PC. I have it there in case I want to quickly change the search Engine occasionally one time. However, in a fresh "unpopulated" new tab, trying to get that minute "drop-down" character is very difficult, as it is now very small and easy to miss. If you try to "mouse-over" just to the right of the magnifying glass (a very apt place!) you can just about make it out! In a populated tab, it DOES show as a little + symbol with a green background.
Please Firefox make the invisible rounded tabs an option. Until then, does anyone know any good alternatives to Firefox?
Hey, you are right..the tabs are not outlined any longer either. Maybe that's part of the problem why I can't see as well as I used to. But I'm not changing browsers over that. I'll just change my header for the time being.
I've given thought to switching several times in the past (usually right after an "update" screwed things up). In each situation, so far, the community has come through with "fixes", although the speed problem has yet to be addressed.
In my opinion:
Chrome is faster but not as customizable.
Edge is based on Chrome but I distrust Microsoft.

Hi Trev, I've passed on your feedback to the team. Is there anything else we can do to help?
Hi everyone, It doesn't look like the person who posted the original question (trev) is going to respond, and others seem to be using this thread for there own issues, so I'm going to lock this thread.
For better help, it would be best to use https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new where volunteers can get more details about your setup.
