I’m in IT and regularly need to access HTTP addresses. That has now become impossible. No matter what I do Firefox’s address bar automatically defaults to HTTPS. I need to be able to do this regularly and without having to jump through a lot of hoops.

Can you provide such an address? The only one I can find is my router which still loads. Have you perhaps selected HTTPS-only in Preferences?

I spoke too soon. Firefox continues to default to HTTPS regardless of what I select in preferences. It doesn't matter what the address is. For the record I'm trying to access a router using the standard 192.168.1.1.
