View Image Info removed?

I see that perhaps due to a 03/24/2021 update to 87.0 the option to right click and image and choose "View Image Info" is missing and I use that all the time when working on WWW sites.

I read "We've removed items from the Library menu that weren't used often..." and wonder where they got the idea this item was not used often.

Does that mean it was not used often by people at Firefox so they deemed it unnecessary?

Is there a way to manually make some adjustment to get that back in or roll back the update?

Some context menus have been cleaned up in Firefox 87 and the "View Image Info" item has been removed along with some others. A possible workaround is to check the image in the Inspector via "Inspect Element" or "Inspect Accessibility Properties" instead of scrolling through "Tools -> Page Info -> Media" depending on your use case. You can also access "Page Info" via the padlock icon on the location bar (Right Arrow -> "More information"). Note that "View Page Info" if you right-click free space on the webpage is still present, but will be removed in Firefox 88 as well.

Hi, what information were you using it for? For example, URL, dimensions, format, etc.

Hi joseibarra, perhaps you have been following the situation in Bugzilla, but if not, there is work under way to return the built-in feature in a future update, maybe in two months. There will be a preference to enable it; it will only be automatically enabled for the Developer Edition.
