What can be preventing me from logging in to my account at cvs.com using Firefox browser. Is there something that I need to de-select?

Have you tried safe mode? Firefox safe mode: Click the menu button menu , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled…. Firefox will start up with the Firefox Safe Mode dialog.

Also, can you post a full screenshot so that we can see your browser. Maybe something is blocked.
