Thunderbird appearance: larger type for poor eyesight
How do I make my Thunderbird easier to read? The type is small. Is it possible to make it larger? I have already set my email type to 18 point Bookman Old Style. Can I do that for the entire application? Thank you!

just a point you might want to consider.... when you set the text in email to be huge the recipient gets them in a huge format... be careful your correspondence doesn't look clownish.
For scaling.. use the Config Editor to change the hidden preference layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to something like 1.25 (that scales to 125% of the current size and should do the job for most people.) or 1.50 if you are really struggling.

Matt, thanks so much for your help!
Hmmm . . . there is no Advanced panel in my Options/General window. The current version of Thunderbird I am using, 8.6.1 32-bit, does not show an Advanced option. My computer is a 64-bit system; did I download the wrong version?
Correction: version 78.6.1
Found it! It's an obscure button. Thanks!
