How do i store/copy a link/url/bookmark to desktop

I often stored bookmarks at my desktop by drag and drop the icon of the adress field to the desktop or any other folder. Now i can't do it anymore, don't know why. My firefox version is 80.0 (64-Bit) My Notebook: HP EliteBook 8540w Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 540 @ 2.53GHz (4 CPUs) Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1
