My Firefox is in English, but all of a sudden my add-ons except one are now in German and I want them back in English

A couple of hours ago FF even removed Kaspersky (without which I will not use this computer!), would not re-install it due to "connection errors". So I copied my settings, uninstalled FF, used a 2017 FF 55.0.3 (32-bit) setup, installed it, FF went through 2 successive updates and I now have 73.0 (64-bit) with everything working.
Thank you for your effort

Try to start Firefox once with the -purgecaches command line switch (make sure that Firefox is closed via Firefox -> Exit/Quit Firefox) to refresh the startup caches.
Thank you very much for the input. I tried, but unfortunately, not being a developer, I could not get past the first step. However, with a background as a physicist + engineer, I can follow instructions, but I can in this case only follow very "stupidly" detailed instructions, and they need to be explicit; first do/click this, then type this, etc. In exact temporal order.
1. Turn on computer
2. Normal startup
3. Start Firefox by (L/R click on desktop icon, or rt-click to open panel, ... etc.)
4. Then .... (etc.)
Appreciating your help. Lee
You can create a copy of the Firefox desktop shortcut and add a space and '-purgecache' (without the quotes) to the target line and use this shortcut to start Firefox once. Alternatively, you can open a command prompt window via "windows-key + R". type or paste this command: firefox.exe -purgecache Leave a space before '-purgecache'. The windows-key is positioned to the left of the space bar between the Control and Alt keys.
I have tried firefox.exe -purgecache in both the Run box, which started Firefox but no change to my now-German add-ons, and also using admin. level cmd (see attachment)
However I did by pure accident find the Firefox Program Files, looked for them to send pic, but now only found this (see 2 attachments)
??
Thanks. Lee

There should be a firefox.exe file in either of these folders:
- (64-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (32-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
You may have to specify the full path to the Firefox executable if Windows can't locate the file via the path environment variable. That is why I wrote above that you could modify a copy of the Firefox desktop shortcut as that would have the proper path to launch Firefox.
- "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -purgecaches
This worked > (64-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
And now that I found the files (attachment showing first part of files) ....
1. What should I look for?
2. And what should I then do?
Thanks
