It is highly recommended that you have an antivirus program running on your computer. It will help protect you on the web.

There are a number of free (like Avast, AVG & Avira) and paid (like Bitdefender, Norton & Webroot) antivirus programs available on the market. You'll want to choose one with a good reputation.

Unfortunately, offering antivirus suggestions is outside of the scope of this forum.

Webroot SecureAnywhere is not compatible with my device. It's in my program files. I can't get rid of it. I gave Microsoft remote access. They couldn't do it either. Please Mozilla, How do I delete it? It's like the worse virus I've ever had.

Hi Joanne McClure, Have you tried to uninstall Webroot in Windows Safe Mode?

Hi Joanne!

In many cases, I don't believe that Webroot can be uninstalled using the regular methods that other apps use. Instead, I believe they include a removal tool with the program.

This is pretty common for a security program, since they want to make it more difficult for a virus to remove or disable the program.

The Webroot website has a page about removing the program. In that page, they also recommend using Windows Safe Mode (as My_Cheese_Is_Slippin') suggested above.

Hope this helps.
