Firefox Crashing

Skrevet

My Firefox crashes all the time, but never creates a Crash Report in About:Crashes & never send me a notice about crashing. Many actions cause it to crash. Here are some: downloading from another site; printing from email like emailed tickets; clicking on some items in Firefox Options, opening a second window in Firefox.. There seems to be no specific pattern. I have uninstalled & installed again several times. & I have also updated. Nothing helps or stops the crashing. It is very frustrating & inconvenient. I have run anti-virus & malware scans. I prefer Firefox to Chrome, but may have to change my default browser if this crashing problem cannot be fixed. Please advise. It might be useful if I could actually talk to someone. thank you. Jonathan Rose xxxxxxxx.xxxx@xxx.xxx xxx xxx-xxxx

I hope this works. I tried one thing where it was crashing & it didnt do so with the 32 bit. But when I tried to install the 32 bit using my Firefox browser, it crashed. So I had to make Chrome the default browser in order to install the 32 bit Firefox. Now I have remade Firefox the default browser. thanks.

ok. I have chatted with a number of persons from Mozilla. I dont know if they are volunteers or employees. They all gave me different suggestions, some of which took me a long time to do & none of their suggestions worked. Some just sent me to things on Mozilla Support which I either had done, did not look useful or didnt understand. None of them indicated like you that there were many problems with the 64 bit version. You were the first helpful person & had greater knowledge than any of the others. I would be interested if there is a reason for that. Dealing with Mozilla on problems is not easy because unlike most applications, you cannot call & talk to someone. Mozilla needs to improve its support process. thanks.

There are many systems that work with Firefox without a problem. Then there are users like you that have problems. All we can do is to try to find the source and find a way around or through it.

Everybody who has replied to your four threads here do not work for Mozilla.

No there are not really any problems with the Win64 Firefox compared to the 32-bit Firefox for Windows. There are certainly no problems with 64-bit Firefox for Mac OSX and Linux. The Win64 Firefox has existed for releases since Firefox 42.0 (November 3, 2015) and was in testing long before that so it is not new.

The vast majority, if not all free and opensource applications that you can download and use do not provide one on one support by say phone, chat, or email. Any that do provide one on one support are paid for things that you can buy in a store or activate downloaded applications. Mozilla does no have the resources to provide the call centres that would be needed to provided one on one support even if only just for desktop Firefox and not for all of their products especially since it would be for free.

For some reason, the entire message was not posted. What I said was that I was following your instructions to keep you posted. Firefox 32 bit has crashed once & a crash report was created. I submitted it. I had trouble reopening Firefox. When clicked on the icon in the taskbar, it closed Firefox. Then I was able to open it in Safe mode. I already submitted the report, but here it is. bp-74783164-cd36-4419-a271-7bb4a0191204 thanks. Jonathan Rose

It has crashed two more times & 3 times in a few hours. But now unlike before with the 64 bit it is creating crash reports. I have submitted both newreports. I have a lot of trouble reopening after the crash. I can only open by clicking on open in new window & opening in safe mode. Here they are the crash reports bp-1a116b86-7651-4b78-8c09-8211a0191204

Update your Realtime Soft programs and files. If the problem continues, disable them.

I dont know what Realtime Soft programs are. How do I find them on my computer? Firefox 32 bit is actually turning out to be worse than Firefox 64 bit
