Hi W.Magicmodel, Thank you for this simple but effective solution. It worked like a darn when I enabled stereo input mix. I just wanted to record some different female voices and this will do TNX again. Robert

Hi mysticalpisces, I was looking through the Microsoft Forum. It seems that you have to have your microphone connected and working first.

Hi mysticalpisces,

From what I understand you were able to download the the file and are unable to use the software is that correct?

While browsing the Microsoft community forum, this error could be related to some sound configurations in your Windows which could possibly solve your problem.

  1. Search for "Recording audio devices in the lower left corner of your desktop.
  2. In the Recording tab right click the space below the devices and check-mark "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices"
  3. Click "Stereo Mix" and click "Enable"
  4. Restart Free Sound Recorder

Hope this helps!
