MacOS Mojave 10.14.4 Firefox 68

When I turn DisableDeveloperTools to True through terminal chrisdhuber$ sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/org.mozilla.firefox DisableDeveloperTools -bool TRUE Firefox opens normally but websites do not load. I can confirm that DisableDeveloperTools appears as true in about:policies

Aside: I want to block devtools because the inspector allows me to get through the leechblock password protection by displaying hidden elements of the page.
