Is there an App (or plugin) to check for Broken links in bookmarks?

I have MANY bookmarks that are relatively old. The links in them may no longer exist. Is there an application (or other software) that will go through my bookmarks and check for links that have expired? Doing it manually is VERY painful.

Hi Ed, this one says it checks links and can help reduce duplicates. I never tried the link-checking feature.

You can try using a Firefox add-on to achieve this. For example, the Bookmarks Clean Up add-on promises to remove duplicate bookmarks and broken links.

There are lots of other add-ons available to download from addons.mozilla.org
