Each time Firefox is updated I keep getting Firefox Not Responding, and this happens EACH time there is an update. Refresh does not help. New tabs open up very slowly AFTER getting Not Responding. Changed performance settings with no change. I do not have any add-on. This is truly very disruptive. If I could figure out how to import all of my saved web pages I would stop using Firefox and use Edge. As of today I HAVE NOT received any answers on how to correct this problem from Mozilla

Hi,

I think there is some old code that is causing slowdowns. For that, you have to do a refresh

Let’s do a full clean re-install;

Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}

Save the file. Then Close Firefox.

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Note: Check Both Folders

Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac

Linux: Check your user manual. If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it. See Install Firefox on Linux; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux

If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory. http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Look for, and remove any Mozilla or Firefox program folders. Do not remove the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.

Do Not remove any profile folders.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner if you have one. Then run the installer. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If there is a problem, start your Computer in safe mode and try again.

This did not resolve anything.. Still getting Not responding, slow to open new tabs (with not responding). With past upgrades I have done a software removal thru control panel, and have done numerous refreshes. At least with this update I am not getting the a stop screen. The Previous Problem (and as of today 3/22/19 still no answer)

since update to ver 65.0.1 the pc keeps crashing with windows stopcode memory management when firefox closes Changed to use hardware acceleration accepted default with no change. No add-ons only customs are window size, Bookmarks, history, and sidebars. These were all working before update. Ran Firefox Refresh For this problem and for getting continous not responding. Also (Second problem) after every update I keep getting not responding. This is not the first time that this happens and I do not feel that I should need to run refresh after every update

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?
