After last update Firefox's extensions don't respond even after restarting in safe mode.

The top right of the browser where extensions and other functions are do not work when clicking on them. This happened after the last 2 updates. I remember 2 years ago when this would happen after every update. It was a nightmare and I seriously pondered to migrate to Opera. I like Firefox but these anomalies create frustration and delay operations. Please, stabilize Firefox and structure updates without these complications. Updates are supposed to improve functionality, aren't they?
