Can't load websites in Firefox Quantum in RDP session

more options

Hello, I look after our Citrix VDI environment. We have an older version of Firefox (49.0.2) currently running on our shared servers so need to update this. In test I have updated to the 64-bit version of Firefox Quantum 63.0.1 I am able to load pages and about:config when logged on to the server through VMware console session but as soon as I RDP to the server I get a blank page and websites wont load. Nothing happens when I go to about:config. This is happening when I am logged on via RDP with the same account as I use when logged on to the VMware console to the same server - which is a Domain admin account. I've turned off hardware acceleration, confirmed no DNS issue as I can browse in other browsers, no Windows Firewall turned on and No AV that could be blocking this So not sure what else to check. Is there a setting in about:config that I might need to change?

Thanks in advance!

Hi cindyjv

It appears you are running Windows Server 2008 which is no longer supported by Firefox ESR (currently ESR60) or the normal version of Firefox (currently Firefox 63.0.3) ESR 52 was the last release of Firefox ESR to support Windows Server 2008.

I recommend upgrading to a supported version of Windows ) i.e. Windows 7, 8 and 10) that runs ESR 60 or Firefox 63: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/60.0esr/system-requirements/

Cheers!
