What's your computer system and Firefox version?

If Firefox not accessing the web at all, or just from the search web page? What search engine are you using? Have you tried a different engine?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Firefox is accessing the web.

Firefox won't open links when I use Google as the search engine. Tried using Safe Mode with Google and that worked.

Bing works in regular mode so I'll use that instead of Google. Maybe a few more updates will fix the problem...

Type about:support in the address bar and press Enter. Under the main banner, press the button; Copy Text To Clipboard.. Now in the Reply Box on the forum page, do a right-click in the box and select Paste.

Does it work to right-click > Open Link in New Tab or Open Link in New Window, or are those also inactive?

Normally Google modifies its results links when you click them to route your request through an "exit" page (for tracking, I think). You can use an add-on to strip off the tracking and see whether that makes any difference:

I think it's a Legacy extension that doesn't have any effect in Firefox 57+.
