Hi, Webroot is no longer supported by Firefox and it has been removed from add-ons / https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/

I would suggest disabling it and see if that is the issue.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hmm, if the web page has "focus," I would expect simulated keys to work the same as real keys. However, it probably depends on what the keys do in the page because Firefox has a concept of trusted and untrusted events, and untrusted events may be ignored.

Thanks for your response, jscher2000. How am I to determine and control whether a page has focus and what FF trusts or not?

The problem I have encountered follows the repair and cleansing of my computer by BestBuyGeeks, and the installation of the security program Webroot.

What must I do now?
