Tried everything, including the proposed solutions from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1229034

I even completely removed ~/.mozilla and started in safe-mode. Still, the red error message comes up.

The problem persists since my update to FF62 on Debian. Up until 61 everything work seamlessly.

Thank you. However, as I already mentioned. I tried deleting the whole ~/.mozilla folder (which includes deleting every profile) AND I started in safe-mode, but this didn't fix the issue. Therefore your answer unfortunately doesn't help me.. :/

Did you also removed the folders in the "~/.cache/mozilla/firefox/" location in case the problem is there?
