Hi, are you using a program to effect Win 7 colours as it is picking up what ever you are using. I run in Black and after update still black. Can you check your Windows settings and or that program as Firefox natively has not changed so something is making it change.

A theme you have installed perhaps : Try : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Performance > Uncheck to view)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST''''is issue still there ?

Cheers

That's a new feature in Firefox 62.

For me with Windows 7 and having the Menu Bar showing all the time, that highlight doesn't show until I hover the cursor over a menu item; it goes away off-hover and after selecting one of the menu items.

With the Menu Bar hidden and then you hit the Alt key to show the Menu Bar temporarily, the File menu is highlighted. If you hover the cursor over the Bookmarks item or any other menu item on the Menu bar the highlight appears there.

I imagine there is userChrome.css code to "hide" that highlighting; Im'm not going to look for it because I like that new feature due to the way the desktop or other open windows behind Firefox "bleed thru" the translucent Firefox Titlebar. You could ask about hiding that "highlight" here: https://www.reddit.com/r/FirefoxCSS/

My FF Title Bar is solid in color (a darker orange). This is controlled in Windows-7:

  • Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization
