This yellow banner is suddenly appearing on my firefox when I am using an online website builder programme and it is stopping it from working and hence stopping me from working. I didn't ask for this error message business, and truly wish I had not updated to this latest version as prior to that update this was not happening. I do seem to remember from some years ago this was a problem too. I have read all the links and articles and I cannot find a way to disable this from happening and it is very frustrating. Please look into this as it is causing me to have to consider using safari again as I certainly won't use chrome as godgle want to know what colour knickers I'm wearing and my inside leg measurement yet all my data goes into someone else's super admin account but godgles won't listen. Very frustrated and I hope that Firefox are not considering going the same way with data collection, advertising and accounts. You stood out as being there for your users and not for advertisers or data gathering or anything so intrusive. I am very sad to think that you are going the same way as them :( please don't we already have google and apple who think they are gods we really need someone who does not want to gather our data or take our info or spy on us.

Hello,

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.
