hi, do you use any special font settings or third-party font management tools on the affected system?

I don't see any apps except for the Font Book app which is a Apple product. I do have Microsoft loaded with its fonts but dont see any 3rd party.

thanks. i've filed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1458003 for this but wouldn't have an immediate remedy for this. it's probably due to some particular fonts being installed on the system...

You can check in Font Book for font issues like corrupted and duplicate fonts. You can try to do some maintenance and cleanup with OnyX.

Do you have fonts installed in places other than the default places?

Does Font Book report any anomalies or fonts in unusual locations?

Can you replicate this always on specific websites?

If that is the case then pleas provide some links, so we can check what font(s) are used on these pages.

hi, our developers are looking into a fix for this kind of crash at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1458003.

this would be a nightly test build containing a potential fix for the matter - would you be willing to give it a test run and report back with the results? since this is an experimental build, i'd recommend backing up all your profile data first, before you start testing though: https://queue.taskcluster.net/v1/task/cMhod0N2RieO-iS7qTPFdg/runs/0/artifacts/public/build/target.dmg

If you intend to run Nightly then you should create a separate profile for this version and don't use the profile you use for the current Firefox release.

I ran the Nightly and still came up with the same issue. Thanks for trying I will keep checking for updates. Let me know if you figure about anything

thanks, this last report was just from firefox 59.

could you download the latest nightly build from nightly.mozilla.org again, and in case it crashes too while you're using it, provide the particular report it's producing. perhaps this will offer more clues to the developers of what's going wrong...
