With 58.0.2 update, all my saved passwords disappeared. Can I recover them?

Skrevet

After 58.0.2 installed itself on my Windows 10 computer, all my bookmarks and passwords disappeared. After rummaging around the web, I found a way to recover my bookmarks, but none to recover my passwords. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

I discovered that my default profile changed by itself to another disk. After I corrected it and replaced its password file with the old one, my passwords were restored.

How and when did this happen? Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; '''Old Firefox?''' https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-run-firefox-when-profile-missing-inaccessible

It happened as soon as Firefox updated to 58.0.2. Copying the old files from the Old Firefox Data profile to the new one did not work.
