FF 57 (Quantum) - Refuses to SAVE my sessions

It REFUSES to save my tab (sessions). Everytime I load FF, it loads my pins on the left side but the window tabs are RESET to just "New Tab".

Story: I installed it over my previous FF 56 and the profile never carried over. I was told to copy the entire 56 profile that I backed up before hand, to the new FF 57 profile folder. That correctly re-stored my bookmarks, passwords, but NOT my PIN TABS on the left nor the WINDOW TABS would not restore.

I later was told that you cannot simply copy the sessions "sessionstore.js" as FF 57 does not use it anymore so it would be ignored.

The instructions to fix it was to:

[Main Profile folder]

1. restore an old sessionstore-backups/previous.js from the old version to the main profile folder

/sessionstore-backups/

2. Delete ALL *.JSONLZ4 3. Rename the old previous.js file to sessionstore.js?

HOWEVER, Now while the PIN TABS on the left are restored, the actual WINDOW TABS refuse to save..
