Since I installed 53.0, my tabs are crashing with: "Gah. Your tab just crashed"--why?

Am getting the "Gah. Your tab just crashed." fatal error on Firefox 53.0.2 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (v. 6.1 build 7600). Clicking on the "But we can fix it." does *not* fix the tab -- it's toast.

The problem is happening about once per day. First one tab will crash, then they all crash. I am losing data that I typed into Webpages -- including e-mails.

What is causing this problem? Is there a work-around? If not, what Firefox version should I fall back to? (Also, a more helpful and more professional error message would be appreciated by many adults.)

hi, could you type about:crashes into the address bar and provide a couple of your latest submitted crash reports here into a reply on the forum?

So nobody has ever reported this problem in 53.0.2 before? I see lots of forum posts about it in the development versions.

How many crash reports do I need to submit before I can get an explanation of what this error message means?

To be clear: my priority is getting a working browser version. When I downloaded 53.0.2, I wasn't aware it was beta version.

After that, I'd be happy to help Mozilla debug its product at my regular consulting rate.  :-)

We'd be happy to answer that, just after you provide our default consulting rate.

If you choose to work for little or nothing, DyDrainiu, that is your affair. You volunteered; I didn't. I'm just trying to use the software.

I updated because Mozilla told me to. Now I have a seriously brokern browser. Nothing else changed on my system and I am doing nothing usual with Firefox.

Would somebody please tell me the latest Firefox version number before you guys introduced this bug that so many people have reported?

Maybe the joker who thought "Gah, Your tab has crashed" was a good error message would care to respond?

So far: zero help....

Fair enough. There's no help, because you didn't paste here your crash IDs.

It just blew up with different error message:

Argh. This amateurish clownware has crashed.

But you can fix it. Click <here> to permanently uninstall FireFox.

A professional always does professional work, regardless of what he's being paid.

But an amateur volunteer only does what he feels like doing. He probably thinks that if a restaurant is giving away free burgers, then it's OK for the cook to spit in them because "you get what you pay for."

There are still a few good software development organizations around--Mozilla obviously isn't one of them.

Bye, kiddies.

ok, since you're not showing any signs of cooperation in addressing/troubleshooting your problem i'll close this thread as not actionable.
