Fierfox getting slower with each passing update

I am getting very frustrated with Firefox being SO slow! I have tried a fresh install, disabling addons, cleaning cache and other fixes.

Firefox 9-14 secs to start, Facebook 14-20 secs to load and then lags when scrolling.

Chrome 3-6 sec to start, Facebook 3-7 secs to load no lag.

I do not want to switch, I have been using FF since ver 0.98.

It is not slow internet as I have 50Mps speeds.

Is there a Fix/Solution?
