FIREFOX NOT RESPONDING
I am still having trouble with Firefox Not Responding. So far, I have started in SAFE MODE, SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING, RESET FIREFOX AND DISABLED ALL MY PLUGINS. I still have the problem. I read something about CPUs but I do not know how to check this.

When does this happen? Can't you start Firefox at all?
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Yes, I am able to start FIREFOX just fine, however, after a while - FIREFOX NOT RESPONDING and WINDOWS NOT RESPONDING happen quite a bit. I have to manually shut off the computer and restart it again. It is OK for a little while, then it happens again and I again have to shut off the computer and restart. The small circle appears and the screen turns sort of blank (white).
Did you use any of the scanners that cor-el posted?
No, not yet, because I have not attempted to do anything like this before. I guess I am afraid I will mess something up. All my plug-ins are deleted. Should I keep it this way?
I just finished doing all of the scans which I have never done before. Only one of them said I have something called a COUPON SCANNER installed and I cannot find it to uninstall it. Everything else seems to check out OK. I do not know what else to do.
When does Firefox start to act up?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
While still in Safe Mode,
Type about:support in the address bar and press Enter. Under the main banner, press the button; Copy Text To Clipboard.. Then in the reply box at the bottom of this page, do a right click in the box and select Paste. This will show us your system details. No Personal Information Is Collected.

In most computers, there are several type of Safe Mode. The primary ones used most are;
- Safe Mode: Only programs that came with the computer are started. No other programs will be started unless the user starts them.
- Safe Mode with Networking: Same as above but the network drivers (internet) will also be running.
This is a way to test if one of the other programs on the computer is causing the issue.
Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
I started my compuer in safe mode and safe mode with networking last week. Is it necessary to do it again. I don't like to start in safe mode because it changes everything on my screen, appearance colors, toolbars on the top, etc. Then I have to figure out how to get my screen back the way it was.
