I'm encountering a proxy server error when trying to access a public website unassociated with the proxy.

I attend a distributed learning school and we all access our library via the school's EZ Proxy Server. I had to connect to the American Psychological Association's website (APA) through our school's proxy server to access some subscription content. However, now when I attempt to connect to the general APA site (My.APA.org) unaffiliated with the school, I am redirected to the URL with our proxy extension and shown our school's custom proxy error message.

This does not happen with any other browser (I can successfully navigate in Chrome). I've tried things like fully clearing the browser history, cookies, and cache, but even after doing so I am still redirected to a URL with the proxy extension, even though I am inputting something else in the address bar. Our proxy support has not been able to recreate the issue, making me wonder if it something specific to do with my browser settings?

Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated!
