I can't view icons in the header of yahoo mail after I updated to firefox 42.0, how do I fix?

When I update to Firefox 42.0 icons appear as boxes in yahoo mail and outlook.com. Both web sites work great with Firefox 39.0. How can I set Firefox 42.0 to work like Firefox 39.0 and show the icons? I cannot figure out the correct settings. My desktop works fine with Firefox 42.0, but my laptop doesn't. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
