∴ (xy) × (pq) – (yx) × (qp) = 99

⇒ (yx) × (qp) = (xy) × (pq) – 99

⇒ Now since the product (xy) × (pq) ends with 8 and 3, therefore

⇒ (yx) × (qp) must end with 8 and 4.
