How do I get Google instead of going straight to eBay every time?

Today (30 March 2015) Firefox changed itself to a different start page (blue) and now every search term I enter takes me to eBay every time. I don't want eBay. I just want to Google stuff as usual. Now I can't because all I get is eBay. How can I get Firefox back to normal? I'm on XP Home Edition on a PC. When I click Help/About Firefox it tells me I'm on Firefox 36.0.4. Thanks

Open Firefox Add-ons Manager, and remove anything e-bay.

Then open the computers Programs Folder, and do the same.

Bookmark and use this; Mozilla Search Reset {web link} This add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.

Settings Guard for Firefox {web link} Detects and resets changes to settings that are frequently done by add-ons and application installers.
