Hello I have a bunch of tabs, and some of them get periodically replaced with some javascript code? I'm not sure, but i did find a few people that have exactly the same problem:

http://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread.php/161366-Code-in-Firefox-after-closing-all-tabs

And further this:

http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Internet_Email/Web_Browsers/Q_28246484.html

Now ,my pc is windows 7 ,running whatever the last version (always up to date) of firefox was at the time (a few months ago it started and then happened a few times)

I still have the tabs sitting like there like that , and would appreciate if there's a solution. I would like a solution to prevent it from happening again and i want to understand what the meaning of the code is and if there's somewhere within it that i can find the lost webpages.

Thank you

What is the file size of the sessionstore.js file? You can also try to free up some memory by removing tab history and recently closed tabs/windows.

Hm, i'm using the session manager addon, so i'm not sure if the sessionstores are relevant?

I have 3 sessionstores in %appdata% (dated way back to 2012) , and they are a few hundred kb each

The last backup.session from session manager is about 6000kb

There's a folder called sessionstore-backups and the previous.js file is 22.8 MB (23,939,441 bytes)

There's also a folder called sessions, and the backup.session file is 22.9 MB (24,100,321 bytes)

The sessionstore-1 files are from 2012 ,so they seem irrelevant only about 300kb

A folder called sessions is not a folder that Firefox creates, so this folder has been created by an extension that manages multiple sessions like Session Manager. You would have to install such an extension and see if you can import that data in case the extension doesn't pick up its content automatically.
