Huge Connectivity and Stability issues

I have been having continuous issues with Firefox since the latest 2 or 3 updates, browser doesn't properly close on shutdown and loses connection without possibility of recovering it without restarting the pc. All of this is making the browser unusable. I have tried numerous ways to fix it, issue doesn't seem related in any way to my installation or plugins, I have started Firefox in safe mode and even reinstalled it completely but problem persists. I think my issues might be correlated to NordVPN (installing the Firefox extension fixed some of the problems). Anyways the main issue is the browser loses connectivity to the internet while every other browser can still navigate with no problem.
