Since the latest update to software 52.6.0 64 bit, the message about Donating to Thunderbird consumes the working space and blocks access to views
Since updating to 52.6.0 the message about donation constantly comes up. There is an uneven line between it and the message panes above and it won't close or allow itself to be minimized leading to having to restart Thunderbird multiple times and even then it glitches back. Basically I can't view or open or sort in Thunderbird because this message pane dominates the views.
Help!!!!!

You can turn this off under Options-General Uncheck the box to show the Start Page.
It usually goes away when you click on a message. This sounds like that is not working for you. If you start Thunderbird in safe mode does it still happen? Hold shift key when opening Thunderbird to enter Safe mode.
If you start up Thunderbird and it opens on eg: Inbox. The info you describe is usually in the 'Message Pane' and disappears as soon as you click on an email in the list.
However, you do not have to start up showing this info.
- 'Menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Options' > 'General'
Thunderbird start page
- uncheck this checkbox : 'when thunderbird launches, show the Start Page in the message area'
- click on OK
The start page, the area that mentions the donation, literally hasn't changed in 2 years.
So it sounds to me like something you have a more fundamental problem where something has changed on your system or thunderbird profile to cause this issue. Perhaps the thunderbird layout?
