Can't download any add-on because of a connection failure.

For at least a year now, I've been unable to download any add-ons to Firefox. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, and it's always up to date. I've tried clearing the cache, cookies, and site preferences. I've turned off my firewall and virus scanners. I've tried multiple profiles.

I'm running Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit. It's also kept up to date. Also, because someone in an old, closed thread mentioned it, the time is accurate on my computer.

Every time I go to download an add-on, regardless of which one I choose. Every add-on results in the same error message that reads "The add-on could not be downloaded because of a connection error." I'm quite fed up with this and would just like it to be fixed.
