After updating to 38.0.5 and setting Firefox as default browser now IE11 opens in Firefox.

Today upgraded to Firefox 38.0.5 now every time I open Internet Explorer11 it opens in Firefox in Windows 8.1. It appears Firefox has hijacked IE 11. I have tried resting IE 11 settings to default and uninstalling Firefox and nothing seems to stop IE 11 for opening in Firefox. Even after I have uninstalled Firefox IE 11 still opens in Firefox. Also, I have tried setting IE 11 as the default browser, but it still opens in Firefox.
