For the past several days, I have been getting script error message such as the above. I keep getting Firefox is not responding when I try to change tabs, go on links, go to other websites, etc. I'm getting p.o.'d and will go back to Internet Explorer if you can't fix this, FIREFOX! My time on the computer is hours longer than normal because of the delays in waiting for firefox to respond and in waiting for the script error message box to keep coming up so I can click to continue. I have refreshed my firefox and have had to update all my extensions and addons and am not interested in doing it again, there has to be some other way since that isn't fixing the problem, either!

That is a problem with Skype, so you need to disable Skype extensions for Firefox and possibly uninstall the program temporarily to check this.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

The whole screen freezes up and I can not get the computer to respond to any commands. When I press the prt sc key on my keyboard, the computer does not respond to copy the error message box about the unresponsive script as I posted above.

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?

As I mentioned I was going to continue using internet explorer because it is only happening on Mozilla so I started using internet explorer since it is not happening through that browser so it would not change to start in safe mode but I did that just to go through all the processes. With my HP laptop, you can not restart in safe mode by pressing the f8 key....you have to go into help and support, click change pc settings on lower right after swiping the mouse to the far right of the screen, go to update and recover, go to recovery, go to advance settings, go to change system settings, click next, press the five key and then it restarts in safe mode. Found that after many attempts to restart pressing the f8 key which is how it used to be with other computers I have owned. Did that, went online, still getting unresponsive script warnings on Mozilla.

No more Skype? What can I do to repair the problem? It wasn't affecting my internet explorer browser. And I have had Skype for over a year, why the problem now?

I've been having the same problem since the last firefox update. I had to uninstall the program and disable the add-on. I'm still getting script errors.

I have removed Skype extensions, and all other extensions. Firefox moving painfully slow with the disc hanging, terminally. No image necessary.

Sorry but i have not seen a solution to this problem that works and will move onto chrome until this is resolved. I have used Firefox for years and love the browser but the constant script errors and hangups are not acceptable.
