Please help me in being able to translate Portuguese files. When I open a .pdf file in FireFox, and try to translate it from portuguese to english, the translate icon in FireFox is greyed out and doesn't work. What do I need to do to fix this?

First, thanks for introducing this feature [which is not the same as whole page translation]. It fills the gap created when, years ago, Mozilla disabled a translation plug-in. IMHO it's not ready for prime time, because:

1. When I highlight a word or phrase then r-click and Translate, this feature offers to translate From English, To English. Don't need software to do that. Even if, on same web page, I set source language to Italian, when I try to translate another section, the tool defaults to no-op same language. For many years other translation tools have been fairly good at detecting source language. Do I really have to download languages for ONline translation (as in "Set your language and site translation preferences and manage languages downloaded for offline translation.")? Anyway, without language detection the tool loses much of its value.

2. Even once you make the effort to set source language, the translation is often wrong, sometimes simply repeating the selection.

So, nice idea, yes you say "Beta" but it feels more like "Alpha."

I'm not sure if this is already built-in or if there's a way to add such a custom keybinding. Another translation extension I have used has ctrl-alt-t as a shortcut for toggling it.

I love the new integration with AI chatbots in the Firefox sidebar—such an awesome feature! 🙌

However, I’ve run into an inconvenience: the logins happen in the default browser context, which causes conflicts between different accounts. For example, I use my personal Google account for OpenAI and my company Google account for Gemini, and I don’t want them to share the same context.

It would be amazing if I could assign a container to each chatbot, just like I can when opening a new tab. Even grouping all AI chatbot logins into a dedicated container or context—separate from the generic one—would go a long way toward solving this.

The translate option pops up everytime that i open the browser or open a new window in the browser and its annoying as hell how do i remove it because i dont see any options where i can disaple it

I am looking for an add on to assist in filing emails but I can't find anything at all. I used to have one which was quite good but can't now recall the name. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated:)

I represent a company that is providing a SaaS-service, in said service our marketing teams wants to implement thirdparty scripts, but we need to make sure that those scripts don't have access to the DOM to ensure the confidentiality of the information in the service.

What I've found out so far is that fenced frames seems to be a good way to solve this, see the following https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/fencedframe.

However the implementation for this element is still lacking in firefox, so i'm wondering if it will be implemented and when if so. We know that the feature is still experimental but it's something we would like to test and see if it's the way forward for our thirdparty scripts.

Hello, I would like to know how to add a plugin (in my case Google Translate) to the Sidebar, just like the screenshot attached. (I don't know how these plugins were added here of course, they just showed up in the sidebar)
