Hi all I have recently installed Thunderbird on a PC that didn't have an mail program. Its Win 11 and includes Malwarebytes and Norton 360 for security Thunderbird 154.0, (64 bit)

I followed the set up as I have done many times before and previously had no problem. I am using Plusnet and have set incoming mail as POP3 on port 995. I have set outgoing mail to SMTP and port 465 ( plusnet recommended 587 doesnt work at all) I have set my login name and password. Security is SSL/TLS

Incoming mail is received normally Outgoing mail asks for my password as on attachment Entering a password doesn't work and results in another error message

送信したメールは「送信済みファイル」に残っていましたが、急に残らなくなりました。 サイトを見て「送信済ファイル」のフォルダ名をsentに直そうとしましたが変更できません。 フォルダのアイコンは紙飛行機ですが、フォルダの名称の問題でしょうか。 また、設定→アカウント設定→送信控えと特別なフォルダー　の”返信元のメッセージと同じフォルダに 返信を保存する”にチェックしましたが、それでも残りません。 対処方法をご教示ください。 よろしくお願いします。

I hope everyone here is doing well.

I am trying to change from Gmail to Yahoo.

I am using Thunderbird to migrate my Gmail account's emails to my new Yahoo account.

My Gmail account has thousands of messages, including numerous photos and other attachments.

My laptop doesn't have space for the app and everything necessary for the migration.

How can I use the Android app on my phone to accomplish this instead?

Please let me know as soon as possible.

In my imap email account I have a folder called Archives which has several subfolders, named by year, where I have been archiving messages for years. All the folders are still there but they are empty. I can't be sure of when this happened. Any ideas?

Hi everyone. I have setup Synology Calendar on my NAS, and I am now able to Sync my calendar across multiple devices. While events in calendar sync, I am unable to create tasks that will sync to all devices, and have the "Please select a calendar that supports tasks" at the bottom of the panel on my calendar panel.

I see there is discussions for this same situation, but for syncing Google accounts.

Does anyone know if I can do this in Thunderbird or do I just live with events working?

I have over 1100 emails many I want to delete. It wont delete the selected emails only for a few seconds and then I get this error "TRYCREATE / UID Move".

How can I fix this?

Some good E-mails got moved into junk, so I right-clicked them and marked them as "not junk." Seconds later, they reappeared in the Junk folder.

Also, Thunderbird continues to classify messages from the same sender and even the same thread as junk. I read the doc here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-junk-spam-messages#w_tell-thunderbird-what-is-not-junk

and the behavior is not consistent with what's described, or what anyone would expect.

Is this a known bug?

Recently I have been unable to use my Verizon.net email account on Thunderbird. An AOL pop-up requests I sign in with my jsturni@verizon.net userid, but returns "Oops, something went wrong." I still can access the account on the web, so I know my password is OK.

In addition, I can not manage to set up an additional js_consulting@verizon.net account. I tried auto setup as well as manual. I also can access this account on the web, so I know my password is OK.

(They both had been functioning until a few months ago)

Since the Update, when i paste a Screenshot with crtl+v the Cursor position is infront of the Picture and not behind it. Everyday i post something in an email and start writing ( since that is how it has always been ) but then i see the picture move, since the cursor is infront of it. Couldnt find a fix so that the cursor is behind the postet picture like it used to behave. Can anyone tell me a fix or if this is an Bug that will be fixed?

De specificaties van mijn beide te laden e-mailadressen zijn al jaren niet gewijzigd. Toch probeert Thunderbird of er een server imap-new moet worden gezocht in het geval van hccnet mail. Vreemd is het dat Thunderbird af en toe ook zonder problemen alle e-mailberichten laadt. Het is dus soms goed, maar ook dikwijls fout. Na het opnieuw installeren van het programma Thunderbird treedt het probleem af en toe weer op.

Hello - I've been using Thunderbird email for several years now. No issues until recently, and I'm trying to determine if it is a server issue (Charter/Spectrum) or my Thunderbird email program (my husband is having the same issues on his computer). We've made no changes with settings; we did take advantage of a recent Thunderbird update that we downloaded about a month ago. Anyhow, we are having problems downloading/opening email, in addition to sending. Error messages include "Login to server mobile.charter.net with username cinmazz@charter.net failed", and "Server mobile.charter.net has disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a network problem." I contacted Spectrum about a week ago - they initially said it was a problem with their email app, and they were working on it. It began working properly for a day, then stopped. I contacted them again, and they then indicated no problem at their end, but they would look at the issue again and resolve by 9/7. It appears it might be a server issue but want to make sure it is not with my email program. Any suggestions for this not very tech savvy person will be helpful - thank you!

I have Thunderbird on laptop. I make changes to a contact in the address book and they seem to be made. When I close Thunderbird and restart it, all changes are lost and are back to what the contact information was before. This has to be fixed.

When replying to an email, I type the first line of text in the text field and then paragraph (carriage return) using the ENTER key. This causes the first line of text to disappear. This has been happening all day today, several times. Closing and reopening Thunderbird does not solve the problem. Rebooting the device does not solve the problem.

Bonjour, après des modifications avec Orange messagerie, je n'arrive plus à me connecter à mes comptes Thunderbird marguerite.ortega@orange.fr et maguy.ortega@orange.fr les mots de passe ne sont plus reconnus, j'ai dû supprimer et réinstaller Thunderbird, mais le problème continue. Comment faire, pour retrouver ma messagerie Thunderbird. Merci et bien cordialement.
