Went to bed last night & firefox was fine.

Opened it this morning & I don't see my bookmarks. The folders on the toolbar from Africa to Healthcare all say empty. Lottery thru web cameras have links in them that I can see. I I open another tab & go to google, then save that bookmark in the google folder it won't let me yet edit bookmark shows.

If I click edit bookmark it tells me that it's in the google folder already yet when I click on the folder, it says empty..

Ran a virus scan. It was clean. I tried restoring bookmarks from a previous day. Firefox was unable to do it.

What is going on? If the bookmarks are there, why can't I see them?

I've used this browser for years without a problem. Now all the sudden it's one problem after another. I'm ready to jump ship to a different browser.

I'm on version 144.0.2 (64-bit) using Windows 11 Pro.

i am unable to see my installed themes and therefore can not use them. the only thing that i can see is "extensions" and "plugins". i looked online for a few hours and have found no solutions that work.

I really enjoy the new sidebar revamp, but I've had an issue with it recently that I haven't been able to find a solution for. Typically, the settings gear is supposed to be situated near the bottom of bar. However, as demonstrated in the attached image, it is at the top near the bookmarks and history buttons. I have tried reinstalling the browser from scratch, turning the sidebar on and off, turning vertical tabs on and off, and even getting rid of my custom CSS theme for a time. None of these have worked. If anyone knows what the root of this issue is, I'd really appreciate the help.

I recently had an issue with my computer screen. The computer itself worked fine, but the screen needed to be replaced. Stupidly, I went to the Bestbuy I bought it from to use the warranty for repair. They sent it out, I just got it back, and it says they replaced my motherboard for whatever reason. My downloads and such back up automatically, but because I didn't expect them to do something so drastic, I neglected to create a backup key for my tabs and bookmarks. Obviously, they're all gone now. Is there any way I could possibly get any of this back, or am I screwed out of luck because those morons made a drastic decision that did not need to be made? I'll apologize ahead of time for my lack of technical know-how.

I changed my password.......still not letting me in....so I changed emails....I'm confused.....I want to know did my new pc accept my change of passwords from my older computer?

I'm having trouble opening urls in a private window from the command line on Windows 11.

Firefox version: 144.0.2

Starting a new private window works fine with "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private-window

But doing: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private-window "https://www.google.com"

just opens the link in the last selected window if the last window selected is non private it just opens the link there instead of a new or existing private window

I have also tried with no success: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private "https://www.google.com"

When I log into a website, say amazon.com, and it prompts me to add a passkey, my only option is local windows machine.

If I use Chrome, I can choose between Google PW manager and hardware key.

Once I save the passkey in Chrome, it works just fine in Firefox.

Is this expected behavior? I used FF for personal browsing and don't really want to move to Chrome.

Hi, new Firefox Win 11 user, new laptop, how do I enable main touchscreen gestures, swipe, pinch etc. All other apps, browsers work, so HW / drivers work. Can't find how on user forums, or in settings.

I bought a new computer 7-1-25 and I wanted to contact you about problems with your update, but it rejected my Acct Key - and when I looked at the email I got with the acct key it said Windows 10 - which tells me someone hacked my old acct because I have Windows 11 as of 7-1-25!

On all three computers, I have "Always ask you where to save files." On all three computers, it never asks and always stores in Download.

On my work computer, Outlook's problem is that all hyperlinks open in browsers while we use Sharepoint links. I want the pdfs to open in Acrobat. I've changed the Applications section, just below Downloads, to use Acrobat for pdf files. I was hoping that would mean Outlook would tell Firefox, my default browser, to open the pdf, FF would see it's a pdf, and it would open Acrobat. That's not happening.

Any clues how to resolve either?
