We recently update Firefox with version 138.0 and now getting the message "Gah. Your tab just crashed" when opening the browser.

We attempted to update and install version 138.0.1 only resulting with the same error. We also found and attempted the following all resulting with the same error: - change the about:config page for settings to false for both browser.tabs.remote.autostart and browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2

- clear browser cache.

- enable Temporary Mode in the Help menu. This appears to fix the problem but only for the current browser session. When a new Firefox window is opened, the error reappears.

What is needed to resolve this error or is there a way to permanently enable Temporary Mode or some similar setting? Thanks for all your help with this.

All of a sudden I am not able to download files on my MacbookPro in Firefox. I am using Version 126 on Mac OS 12.7.5 Monterey.

Downloads are working if I use Safari, but I do not use it. I just used it for testing purposes. Is anybody else having this problem? I've already "refreshed" Firefox per their suggestion.

Youtube won't work anymore. I've been watching youtube for years and now on Firefox and now it won't work anymore. For months now it keeps saying "Gah. Your tab just crashed". I've tried many things to fix but nothing works. Really annoying. Is it time for me to stop using firefox?

I use Firefox on my Mac and windows. Recently downloaded Firefox for the first time on ipad. Worked well for the sites that I opened for 15 minutes. Opened at max 4 tabs. Then I was crossing out the opened tabs, it crashed when the last open tab was closed. Tried again, and same thing. Since this is my behavior for every session, this could not continue, and I had to uninstall it from the iPad.

Hi @all, Such quite a while, Firefox almost constantly crashing when closing a or better the last open tab. Tried a support hint and deleted cache and everything and after that it worked for a few days and then it coming up again. When it happens, and I restart FF and try a logged in page directly, I.e. Facebook, FF doesn’t recognize my signin. Closing the tab, waiting a moment, restart the page again and everything is fine. Really don’t know when this behavior begun, but it is really annoying. I face this problem on 2 different iPad Pro. The newer one from last year with an M2 processor and an older one with an Axx don’t know which one exactly. What’s the matter with that? Twitter (X) keeps saying, "Error Oops, something went wrong. Please try again later." on Firefox 123.0.1, but can log in on my iPhone/Safari just fine... any ideas?
