My phone is in locale ca/ES other apps appear in catalan but not Firefox :-(
Hi everyone!
So, I put my phone in locale ca (from catalan) ES (from Spain), and though other apps have changed to Catalan (whatsapp, wikipedia, gmail...), Firefox have not, but it appears in English. If I change my phone to, for example, French, everything changes to French, Firefox included, but when I change my phone back to Catalan, Firefox was back to English... Isn't Firefox translated to Catalan? I did read here that it is.
Thank you so much for your willingness to help!
Best,
Mariuka

I'm part of Catalan l10n team. Translation has been available in Catalan for long time. The place to check translation status is here: https://l10n.mozilla.org/shipping/dashboard The problem is that Google Play-shipped Firefox for Android version does not include all translated locales yet. More locales are supposed to be shipped in upcoming versions (let's cross fingers). For now, you can get a Catalan-only build from here: http://www.firefox.cat/m The problem is that any later update will shift to the Play version with no Catalan locale, so you will need to install new version again from that site.
Cheers,

Firefox's variety of available languages relies on those who are willing to contribute towards translations. Catalan is a language that has not been translated yet.
https://l10n.mozilla.org/teams/ca#fennec indicates that there are a lot of missing translations.
If you would like to contribute towards Catalan translations I suggest getting in-contact with the Catalan team (https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Teams:ca)

Hi Toniher,
Thank you for your helpful reply! In the meanwhile I also tried the firefox.cat page but it gave me some unexpected problems... So, I asked for help in softcatala... But anyway, I think I prefer to cross fingers myself for Mozilla (with your invaluable help) to fix it by an update that nicely solves the problem.
Cheers,
And yet another attempt. Firefox Beta. 19.0 version. And still no Catalan locale :-(
In the meanwhile, I discovered that Opera Mini is nicely translated to Catalan, but come on! I'd rather use and support a free and open source web browser as Firefox!
