When selecting text etc. for copying, Firefox will not scroll below the visible area

consequently, I have to deselect the text, having copied it, and then scroll down to select another page of text, select that, then copy it into Word or whatever, then scroll again etc.

Does it help if you open a toolbar like the Add-ons bar (Ctrl + /) or the Find bar (Ctrl + F) at the bottom?
